🚨Pamodzi Hails Isa’s Energy Leadership Award as Nigeria’s ‘Olympic Gold’ for Industry Excellence

Pamodzi Nigeria, a leading sports marketing and promotions company, has congratulated Abdulrazaq Isa, Founder and Chairman of Waltersmith Group, on his receipt of the prestigious Energy Industry Leadership Award at the 9th Annual Nigeria International Energy Summit (NIES 2026).

The award, hosted by the Federal Ministry of Petroleum Resources, honours individuals whose vision, enterprise, and decisive leadership have significantly advanced Nigeria’s energy sector. It recognizes industry leaders who have strengthened national energy security, expanded indigenous participation, and delivered lasting impact through strategic foresight, collaboration, and strong institutional stewardship.

Isa’s recognition reflects his pioneering role in indigenous upstream development and domestic refining capacity, most notably through the commissioning of the Waltersmith Modular Refinery in Ibigwe, Imo State. The project has played a vital role in boosting Nigeria’s refining self-sufficiency and enhancing national energy resilience. Beyond his industrial achievements, Isa is also widely acknowledged for his strong commitment to philanthropy, community upliftment, and sustainable development.

Reacting to the honour, Pamodzi’s Founder, Chief Mike Itemuagbor, one of Africa’s foremost sports promoters, described Isa’s achievement as the industrial equivalent of winning an Olympic gold medal, the highest accolade in global sports.

In a personally signed statement, Itemuagbor said Isa has reached “Olympic height” in the energy industry and deserves national celebration for both his professional excellence and humanitarian impact.

“Isa is a thoroughbred professional and a true gentleman. This award is a fitting recognition of leadership at its finest, much like an Olympic gold medal crowns an athlete’s career. Nigeria is proud to have men like him who consistently set standards of excellence in their fields,” Itemuagbor stated.

He further emphasized that Isa’s career stands as a defining example of world-class Nigerian private-sector leadership within the energy industry, inspiring the next generation of industry leaders.
