 UUA Athletes Shine at TFCUSA National Championship in Birmingham


UUA athletes delivered a series of outstanding performances at the TFCUSA National Championship, with multiple podium finishes, personal bests, and All-American honors. The team’s hard work and dedication were on full display, as five athletes earned All-American status by placing in the top five of their respective events.  


Jade – 1500m Champion & All-American  

Jade dominated the 1500m, securing the gold medal with a strong 5:17.69 finish. While just three seconds shy of her personal best (5:14.50) from her previous race, her commanding performance cemented her place among the nation’s top middle-distance runners.  


Suri – 800m Champion & All-American (New PR & Ola High Indoor Record)  

Suri electrified the track in the 800m, clinching the gold medal with a blazing 2:21.92—a massive four-second personal best. Not only did she secure victory, but she also set a new Ola High Indoor Record, showcasing her continuous improvement and dominance in the event.  


Rayah – 800m Bronze Medalist & All-American (New PR) 

Rayah battled through a competitive field to finish third in the 800m, clocking 2:25.51—a 0.3-second personal best. Her strong finish earned her a well-deserved All-American designation, proving her ability to rise to the occasion on the national stage.  


Cai – 4th Place in 800m & All-American (New Indoor PR)  

Cai delivered an impressive performance in the 800m**, securing fourth place with a time of 2:26.82—a three-second improvement on her previous indoor best. Her effort and determination were rewarded with All-American recognition.  


Keaiyr – 4th Place in 800m & All-American (New Indoor PR)  

Keaiyr also turned in a stellar run, placing fourth in the 800m with a new indoor personal best of 2:05.59, slicing three seconds off his previous record. His breakthrough performance earned him All-American honors, further cementing his status as a rising star in the event.

With two national champions, five All-Americans, and multiple personal bests.
